MAAK KENNIS MET JOSHUA RADIN
Joshua Radin debuteert bij Warner Music met zijn single I´d Rather Be With You. In ons land is I´d Rather Be With You sinds afgelopen week in promotie en staat inmiddels al op de playlist van Radio 1. In de UK is de single een erg groot succes en is ondertussen al naar de nummer drie positie van de airplay chart geklommen.

Joshua Radin is een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter uit Ohio. Hij is opgegroeid met de sound van de jaren 60 en 70 en is geïnspireerd geraakt door grootheden als The Beatles, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens en James Taylor. Het balletje is gaan rollen in 2004, toen zijn goede vriend Cary Brothers een demo aan de Amerikaanse tv ster Zach Braff gaf en deze single prompt werd gebruikt in de hitserie Scrubs. Zijn heerlijke stem bleef niet onopgemerkt en al snel volgden programma’s als Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, American Idol, One Tree Hill en So You Think You Can Dance.
I´d Rather Be With You is afkomstig van Joshua Radin´s album Simple Times dat aan het einde van de lente in ons land zal verschijnen. “The songs on the album are about falling in and out of love. Making friendships, having friendships fall apart. Experiencing different parts of the world, seeing other cultures and getting a better perspective on how we live in our country. Everything that people generally go through.” vertelt Joshua Radin. “It’s a personal account of my life through music. They’re all true and honest songs. When I meet people after shows, sometimes they think they know me because of a certain song—and in a sense they do, because I write about what’s going on in my life. It is scary making yourself vulnerable like that to a bunch of people you don’t know, but it’s also very therapeutic.”
Op 6 mei a.s. zal Joshua Radin in ons land zijn om zijn album te promoten.
